Jake finished his coffee, threw on a jacket and, after sticking a post-it to the fridge, was out the door.

Jake was on his third mug of coffee for the morning and his twelfth dumb quiz (so far he'd discovered that he was a pineapple, Krycek had an emotional eating disorder, his inner diva was Alison Blaire and if his life was a movie, it'd be a spy thriller) when the phone rang.
He answered it. "Gavin's House of Coffee, how can I help you?"
There was a pause, then Karna's amused voice replied, "Good morning, Jake. I have a job for you."
"Oh thank god!" Jake exclaimed. "You have no idea how bored I've been! Please tell me it's something big? Not something that'll be done in two hours?"
"It'll take more than two hours," Karna promised.
"I think I love you and want to have your little horse-y kids."
Karna snickered. "Okay, here are the details..."

"You've reached Jake Gavin junior. I'm not here right now, so leave a message, and I'll get back to you."
Jake was only hiding a little bit. It wasn't that he didn't want to see his father. He did. He just didn't want to explain Mikey's call home, or meet Lau, or in fact, do anything right now but play GTA and steal cars.
"I bet we will be eaten by a gigantic snake or something. Or blown up," he said gloomily, and stole another car. "It's been far too peaceful recently. Yeah, okay, kids all over the place. Oh god the kids. But they aren't really dangerous, except when they make phonecalls home and dad's going to kill me, isn't he?"

He knew he ought to go back to his own room, but not just yet. The room seemed strangely empty and quiet without Etienne's gloomy presence, Josh hopefully going 'offee', Mikey being the devilspawn Jake was sure he was and Giuliana wanting to know everything. Jake liked empty and quiet. He did.
Still, once he'd replied to Chloe's email, he curled up in the couch and started sketching his kids.

The smell of coffee finally managed to wake Jake up. He hadn't had coffee in a week, it was amazing it hadn't woken him up before. He opened his eyes, and smiled. "Alexeij." He snuggled closer. After a moment he blinked. "Krycek? Why are you here? Wait. Why am I here?"
He looked around the very familiar room, confused. This was definitely not where he'd fallen asleep.
ooc: for a certain someone!

Lau was not liking how this was developing. He liked even less that he was beginning to get seriously concerned about Jake's safety.
Once everyone had woken up, and gone through the plan for the day one more time, Lau got ready to teleport them to Prague to see if they could track down Bob and Ted, or at least their contacts. He was still certain that he and Marishka could work much better on their own, without having to watch out for four high school students, of all things, but Gavin senior had been very firm on this.
Matrix was already up and meditating over her crystal balls, and Karna seemed to have fallen asleep standing up and staring out the window.
Lau sighed. "If everyone will join hands, we'll get this show on the road."
characters: Krycek, Alanna, Kawalsky, Parker, Marishka and Lau (with backup).
Wait for OCD is up!

Lau teleported the high school students directly into the hotel suite they were using as a base at the moment. Only sheer luck kept one of them from toppling over Matrix's carefully displayed crystal balls.
She looked up at their appearance with a frown. Karna was still napping on the couch, and Marishka was nowhere to be seen so she was probably off searching the coffee shops again. While Lau didn't have the highest opinion of Jake, he thought it was doubtful that Gavin junior had managed to hang out in a coffee shop for five days running without anybody noticing or him using any of his credit cards. But Marishka didn't like doing nothing.
He turned to the kids his boss apparently thought could do a better job than he could and said, "Well?"
